UPITUP (up it up!) is a young and sexy record label that’s based in Rome (Italy), Stuttgart (Germany) and Liverpool (UK). In a world with an over-nourished music industry and its well-rehearsed production machinery, we’ve been releasing free music over the web since March 2003 - just because we can. Doing asides better than what they do for living is our way of stating that a system of copyright, audience economics and marketing strategies is obsolete and just sucks arse.

All our music is completely free, however, we are planning to produce vinyl releases in the near future. Those releases won’t replace our free output and they will not have any copyright licenses, and we always encourage you to copy, remix and spread our shit anywhere you want. It’s basically just for those friends who are DJs…

Ghostly Swim

Record label Ghostly International (Tycho / Solvent / Lowfish / Lusine / Matthew Dear / Kiln / Dykehouse / Dabrye / a.o.) and modern cult classic programmers [Adult Swim] have paired up for a compilation of new music and art.

A genre-busting 19-song collection, stretching the entire Ghostly International galaxy, Ghostly Swim explores the Avant-Pop style that the Ann Arbor/New York City label has been been championing for the past 9 years. Ghostly Swim features artists like Matthew Dear, Dabrye, Tycho and Aeroc and features new signings like UK cult band The Chap and NYC producer Michna.

The free collection also includes favorite friends of the label like School Of Seven Bells, and Detroit’s Deastro, Milosh (Plug Research), FLYamSAM (Warp’s Flying Lotus and SAMIYAM), and Dark Party (Mush). Along with the new music, BoyCatBird (Ghostly’s mascots) make their animated debut in the awesome “City Suckers” video by Daniel Garcia/Superfi.

Ik denk dat dit het beste voorbeeld is van hoe het wellicht in de toekomst zal gaan met muziek.. je kan een preview downloaden in absolute bagger kwaliteit en als je het goed vind kan je 'm downloaden op beatport..

dat doet bogdan raczynski met dit lekker foute bliep album.. je hoort gwoon dat het goed is maar dat die ook zwaar gestript is het album van 3 kwartier is dan ook maar 4.5 megabyte.
